  1. Why are there no listings for polling places for the north part of the county?

    1. The press release posted to the Highlands blog is different from the one sent out yesterday. They listed the sixth polling place as:
      Precinct 6
STOREY COUNTY FIRESTATION #4 (CHANGE IN POLLING LOCATION)
      431 Canyon Way
      Lockwood, NV 89434

  2. Again, the Money from TRIC has found it’s way into our close knit community… When Gilman ran for office of County Commissioner the first time, at one of the forums, the canidates were asked how much money had been spent so far on their campaigns.. (and this is not quotes, but close) One said oh, about $1500. The next said about $800. When Lance Gilman was asked, his answer was (again, not quotes but close) Oh about $40,000 so far but whatever it takes to win.. This my fellow Storey County residents is what we have elected.. Big money wants to run OUR COUNTY…. What a shame that this is allowed to happen.. Sheriff Antinoro may not be an Angel, but he sure is better than anybody else they plan to put in his place…. Keep our Sheriff… Vote NO on the Recall…..

  3. They should have set it for April 1st, since the whole thing is a big joke anyway.

The people of this county made their will known just over 2 years ago when they re-elected the sheriff despite massive smears and an ugly campaign.

The people are scheduled to weigh in again in just over a year.

Yet a disconsolate but well-funded few just can’t seem to accept the will of the people, and insist on waisting taxpayer money on this exercise in vanity.

    I’m not amused…

    1. For sure.. The wrong person is set for Recall… We shouldn’t have allowed Gilman in in the first place, let alone allowing him to be elected the second time without anyone running against him… WAKE UP Storey County
