With the announcement that Sheriff Antinoro will forgo a legal challenge of the signature verification process, the final hurdle facing the Recall Election has been cleared.
thestoreyteller.online spoke with County Clerk Vanessa Stephens who indicated her office was still in the process of working out the details of the election.
“Due to the time constraints of printing and mailing the ballot instructions and placing the advertisements, we will take the full 30 days that the statute allows before holding the election. We are still checking with NRS Statues to determine the exact process of a Special Election to see about absentee and mail in ballots. ” she explained.
While the date of the election is undecided at the date of this posting, we expect the election will be held sometime in mid April.
