Lincoln Day Breakfast This Saturday

The Storey County Central Republican Committee will hold it’s annual Lincoln Day Pancake Breakfast this coming Saturday, February 17th. The annual event starts at 9:00 and runs until noon at the Delta Saloon located at 18 South C Street in Historic Virginia City.

Tickets are $25.00 in advance (by purchasing here) or $35 at the door. Local Storey County officials, Assembly member Jim Wheeler and Senator Jim Settlemeyer, Dean Heller, and Mark Amodei are expected to eat flapjacks and press the flesh with the unwashed masses of Storey County.

The doors will open at 9:00 am and the brunch will begin at 10:00. The elected officials will begin heating the room at 10:30 with good old fashioned political hot air. Along with the brunch, there will be a silent auction and raffle.

Raffle To Benefit Scholarship

Already, dozens of exciting donations have been made that include several gift certificates for popular restaurants, gun range and archery practice, gun smithing, gun shop purchases, and many rounds of golf at the area’s best courses including Genoa Lake, Arrow Creek, Sun Ridge, Dayton Valley, Eagle Valley, and Red Hawk Golf & Resort.

Hunting accessories, beautiful women’s jewelry, GOP apparel, books on finance and venture capital by State Treasurer Dan Schwartz are on the venue. and a collectible Nevada Sesquicentennial Medallion, cast entirely from Comstock Silver, donated by Comstock Mining.

Virginia City has wholehearted supported this effort by Storey GOP with a basket that includes a night’s stay at the Silverland Hotel, tickets for the V&T, and certificates for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as area attractions.

Support Local Students

Funds generated from the brunch, silent auction and raffle go to support a scholarship given annually to the VCHS Valedictorian. This is your opportunity to have a delicious brunch and meet your GOP candidates. Bid on our auction items and  take home lovely gifts and experiences while supporting the community.

  1. If you like to golf, be sure to come to the Storey County GOP Lincoln Day Brunch next Saturday, at the Delta Saloon. Doors will open at 9am, and a really good spread is served for $25 per person, advanced tickets. You’ll get to rub shoulders with state and national elected officials and get any questions answered.
    The brunch will have a Silent Auction and Raffle, and proceeds go to a VC High School scholarship fund.
