The More Things Change, The More They Stay The Same

I ran across this piece on Joe Conforte and Storey County from the Reno Gazette-Journal which ran sometime in 1985. In reading this, I was struck by the irony of the sentiment of the people and the headline.

Here we are thirty years into the future and in some ways, we’re starting from scratch.
