Elect Sam Toll For County Commissioner

Las Vegas Democrats want to make Nevada irrelevant next Presidential Election. Don’t let them.

AB274 is a bad idea and we don’t understand why any Nevadan would have the lack of sense to support this bill. It comes as no surprise that all 16 sponsors and co-sponsors of this bill are Democrats and all but one are from Las Vegas.

This bill will make Nevada irrelevant in future Presidential Elections by rendering the our participation in the Electoral College extinct. If you think the Electoral College is dumb or don’t understand how the college works because Hillary Clinton lost the Election even though she won the popular vote, consider it in Baseball terms.

Lets say that instead of awarding the World Series to the winner of the best of seven games we gave it to the team that scored the most runs in seven games. The entire strategy would change from trying to win every game tooth and nail; you would try to hammer the most amount of run no matter what. Conversely, a team would throw their best reliever at a rally at any time, even if the game itself was out of reach, rather than saving him for the next game.

For example, if, like game four of the 2016 World Series, a game was out of reach in the seventh inning with Cleveland up 7-1, the Cubs would be compelled to use the best reliever available late in the game simply to prevent Cleveland from adding to the run total.

If we used the logic of AB274 to decide the 2016 World Series, the Chicago Cubs would still be lovable losers instead of World Champions.

Keeping the Electoral College intact as our Founding Fathers intended, rural flyover states would maintain relevance and value.

Passing AB274 would hand deliver our relevance to Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Ohio and Florida and would sweep Nevada into the dustbin of relevance when it comes to electing a president.

Call your elected representative and all 16 Democrat Sponsors and tell them what you think.
