In this sixth episode of the Storey Teller Podcast, we interview Storey County Sheriff Gerald Antinoro about legal marijuana. Nevada became one of a growing number of states who allow recreational use of marijuana and Sheriff Antinoro discusses how it’s still not a free-for-all for people who enjoy hippy lettuce.
We also talk about the recent 4th of July holiday. The parade was excellent, the town was packed and the fireworks were drama free. With a minimum number of problems, and a new exit strategy employed by the Sheriff’s Office, the event was a real winner and every report I had was positive.
We also talk about the new deputies who will be attending the Police Academy to complete the necessary training to become official staff additions and the role that CERT plays in both the community and the Sheriff’s Office.
This is the training mentioned in the episode. If you would like to become a member of CERT, contact Rebecca Fielding through the Facebook Page here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/StoreyCountyNVCERT/.
