At 3:00 pm on February 23rd, Storey County Clerk-Treasurer Vanessa Stephens certified the findings of the Recall petition circulated by Team Gilman to the Nevada Secretary of State.
The Clerk’s Office verified 411 signatures and rejected 89 concluding that the effort collected (by extrapolation) 491 signatures. The recall effort needed 477 signatures to move forward.
The Secretary of State will consider the document and issue its findings. The election will proceed 30 days after certification, pending legal challenge.
