Storey County Clerk Vanessa Stephens was kind enough to talk with The Teller about the upcoming election. The Teller received numerous calls and emails concerned about the mail-in ballots.
Several folks were concerned that if they voted for or against a certain candidate their privacy could be compromised. Based on past experience with the culture of thuggery that exists in Virginia City, they were concerned about repercussions.
Vanessa gives a great interview about the process and the steps she is taking to ensure a fair and private vote count.
If you have not sent in your ballot, take it to the Slammer by 7:00 and let your voice be heard.
