The Community Chest does a yeoman’s job of providing support to Storey County residents. On Wednesday, June 12th UNLV and the Nevada Department of Education will be joining the Community Chest to talk to parents about the needs of younger Storey County children.
“We want to increase resources for young children such as access to early childhood education, health, and other resources living in Storey County. We know that each community in Nevada have different needs, and we want to make sure we hear directly from you. This group discussion will be an opportunity to learn about how Nevada can best serve you, your children, and your community.” explained Asma Awan of UNLV.
Parents are encouraged to bring their kids (8 years and younger) and enjoy refreshments and prizes as the Community Chest, UNLV and the Nevada Department of Education to gather input from parents to decide how best to focus on the needs of the Storey County community.
