This recap of the Storey County Commissioner Meeting is from Nicole Barde of bardeblog.com.
Looks like Mike “Mission Critical” Nevin presence is so essential to county governance that he can’t be allowed to retire.
He just signed a no bid contract that nets him $4500.00 a month.
Um…
Jason Van Havel strikes me as one of the most capable people on the County Employee roster, so I know Mission Critical’s contract isn’t because he’s in over his head.
Maybe that is just how things roll around here. I wonder if Gary Hames and Dean Haymore will get similar sweetheart deals once they leave the “official” county payroll.
More of the same stinks next to the Million Dollar Parking Lot.
The slop trough is filled by the wallets of the chumps and the hobGOBlins get fat at feeding time.

THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT SEVERAL KEY BILLS GRINDING THRU THE LEGISLATURE DIED….THE BAD NEWS IS THERE WILL LIKELY BE A ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE AND THEY WILL RESURFACE AS PART OF OTHER BILLS. NOT UNLIKE RETIRING COUNTY SENIOR MANAGEMENT….GONE ONE DAY REINCARNATED ON THE PAYROLL THE OTHER!
AND I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO SAY ABOUT THE Q3 BUDGET REVIEW……REALLY.
