Santa Claus Comes To Lockwood

Santa’s Reindeer Bring Gifts And Holiday Cheer To Lockwood

Well over 100 residents packed the Rainbow Bend Clubhouse to see Mr. and Mrs. Santa Clause spread holiday cheer. Mr. and Mrs. Claus handed out 3 separate gifts to eager children as happy parents and grandparents looked on.

Before the reindeer carried Santa’s sleigh over the Truckee and into the Clubhouse, the revelers were treated to a fantastic spaghetti dinner with all the fixins. The mushroom and meatball sauce was particularly delicious, and the dessert selection was, let’s just say, sumptuous. The grownups enjoyed a raffle after dinner and as usual, fun was had by all.

But the highlight of the event was when the children sat with Santa and got their gifts. Santa’s Elves worked their magic and prepared stockings and gifts for the excited youngsters. The kids had a separate raffle and they won amazing gifts! The look on the young faces who won the oversized stuffed animals warmed the entire room.

Once again, the holiday cheer overflowed in Storey County’s warmest community.

Bravo, Santa!
